![]() ![]() With ultraviolet (UV) absorbance detectors, for example, we expect the peak area and height to increase in proportion to the sample size, as seen for the four smaller nested peaks of Figure 1b. LC detectors are designed so that an increase in peak height and peak area are seen with an increase in the concentration of sample injected onto the column. However, perfectly symmetric peaks are rare in LC separations, with most peaks tailing a bit. What Are the Symptoms? An ideal chromatographic peak is Gaussian in shape, as seen in Figure 1a. This month’s “LC Troubleshooting” article looks at these two overload types, their causes, and possible solutions to correct the problem. Overload most commonly occurs as column overload or detector overload. This situation usually is referred to as overload. However, problems at the other end of the scale exist when more of an analyte is present than can be accommodated by the LC system. In such cases, the problems associated with too much sample rarely are encountered. The patented UNIBOX system and RESPONSE fins have a radical effect : the asymmetrical profile improves the general ride and early planing. How to distinguish between liquid chromatography (LC) column overload and detector overload.įor many applications of liquid chromatography (LC), the goal is to measure very small quantities of the analytes of interest. To form the channels, the tip of the board is raised in its central part, therefore creating added lift locally to the rocker of the board for better pop and easier landings.īoard flex is tuned through both materials and shape. These channels help provide superior grip towards the tip of the board and are designed to be super-efficient during the pop. The wood forms the heart of your board and gives it most of its mechanical properties: strength, flex and resilience (ability to return to its original shape). The V double concave bottom shapes combines a general V with two concave channels on each side of the center line. The rocker is smoothed into a clean curve nose to tail, helping the board to stick to your feet during strapless tricks The outline has been pulled in slightly at the nose and tail for 2021, adding control and increasing top-end performance, while the lower volume tail allows more sink and pop for freestyle in flatter water. The compact directional parallel outline is a minimal size with hard, sharp rails to allow for speed and edge control in a range of conditions. Tail channels for grip, response and cushioned landings with less bounce on touchdown Grabbable rail profiles on the top deck enable easy handling in the air and on the beach. New VectorNET carbon fiber diamond weave adds rail impact resistance while maintaining flex. NEW VectorNET impact resistant grabbable rails This allows the board to release off the water faster when loading and popping. The bevelled rail profile reduces the suction effect of a round rail so water can shed off the rail and not wrap onto the deck. Micro-corduroy textured EVA deckpad with intuitive front toe bump and rear wedge kick for maximum traction and control.Īllow the board to load and release from the water on demand. No-Slip deck grip with toe bump and rear wedge kicker Spreads the load under the kickpad and gives impact resistance and torsional stiffness under the rear foot. Our solution to reduce over-engineering, keeping the boards lightweight while retaining required flex. With a NEW stronger fibreglass layup under the main impact areas adds more durability and helps reduce denting around your heel. Fin boxes, leash plug and foot strap inserts are structurally integrated, locking into the laminate with the Futurelite carbon innegra system to give extra reinforcement and flex-tuning. High-density foam reinforcements surrounding the FCSII fin box are shaped to match the curved template of the finbox for a clean bond and smoother load transfer into the board. Compatible with both FCSI and click-in keyless FCSII fins for more speed & drive, quicker acceleration, and more response from your board. New lighter weight premium fin box allows for 9-degree rake. Carbon and Innegra Futurelite wireframe forms a structural skeleton to support the laminates, maximising strength without losing flex, and allowing the board to load and release power on demand for more drive and responsiveness. ![]()
